Chance Of Light Rain Or Snow Showers For Some Tonight -Bill Graul
Breezy and a Bit Cooler Wednesday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 32F / Wednesday’s Forecast High: 38F…
It was another mild day across the region, with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s. In fact, the high of 46F made it the warmest day in La Crosse in 2 months! You have to go all the way back to Dec. 23rd of last year to find a warmer day, when it hit 52F.
Another weak disturbance will zip by to our north tonight, bringing a chance of light rain and snow showers to parts of the viewing area. The best precip chances will be north, with just slight chances for sprinkles or flurries near and south of the I-90 corridor.
Like last night, it won’t be all that cold overnight… with morning lows in the upper 20s to low 30s. Expect increasing winds late tonight into Wednesday morning as they shift to the NW around 10-20 mph, with gusts around 25 mph possible.
It will be breezy and a bit cooler Wednesday, with decreasing clouds. Expect highs in the mid-upper 30s for most areas, but low-mid 30s will be common in parts of SE Minnesota and NE Iowa. A weak boundary will cause passing clouds Wednesday night and perhaps a few flurries. It will be colder Wednesday night with lows in the upper teens to around 20F.
Looking Ahead… Partly sunny and seasonable on Thursday, with highs in the mid 30s. Partly sunny conditions again on Friday with highs in the upper 30s, but it will also be rather breezy. A disturbance will bring a chance of snow showers Friday night, then a small chance for lingering light rain/snow showers in spots on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 30s to near 40F. Flurries possible Sunday and chillier, with highs in the low 30s.
Partly sunny and colder to start next week, with highs Monday in the upper 20s. Overnight lows will dip back into the teens. Increasing clouds Tuesday with highs in the low 30s. Slight chance of snow showers Tuesday night, then partly sunny next Wednesday with highs in the mid 30s.
Have a good Tuesday night! -Bill Graul
