Central basketball players ring bells for Salvation Army
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A group of area basketball players is making a difference on and off the court.
Players from the boys Central basketball program were out ringing bells for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
They were at the southside Walmart in La Crosse Thursday night. It’s something the team does every year
It’s not just varsity players giving back, players as young as third grade are also donating their time.
Players say despite the cold, they’re happy to help out those in need.
” It makes me feel good when we’re out here in the cold and people donate money and take the time to give us money. It makes you feel good about yourself,” said Hunter Elicen, a 9th grader at Central High School.
They’ll be back out Friday at Walmart from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m..
