Candidate for 96th Assembly District is DNC Delegate
Alicia Leinberger heading to convention as Sanders delegate
VIROQUA, Wis. (WKBT) — A candidate for Wisconsin’s 96th assembly district is serving as a delegate in next week’s Democratic National Convention.
Alicia Leinberger from Viroqua heads to Philadelphia Monday as a Bernie Sanders Delegate.
Currently neither Democratic presidential nominee has enough delegate votes to become the official pick, but with Sanders endorsing Clinton many are coming to terms with the outcome. While Leinberger is attending the DNC as a Sanders delegate, she says she is more than satisfied with Hillary Clinton as the Nominee.
“She has agreed now to a number of ideals that we from the Bernie Campaign have put forth,” said Leinberger.
The Democratic National Convention begins Monday, July 25th in Philadelphia.
Clinton is expected to pick her running mate before the start of the Convention.
