Caledonia students celebrate Minnesota Acts of Kindness Week with letters to seniors
CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT) — Acts of Kindness are being made across Minnesota!
United Way organizations in the state are setting an example during the Minnesota Acts of Kindness Week.
Great Rivers United Way, which serves Houston County, partnered with Caledonia Elementary School for coffee and doughnuts. And to keep the Acts going, students wrote personalized, uplifting letters and artwork to senior citizens in the Caledonia community.
“We’re hoping that the students catch on, that they go home and do more acts of kindness with their friends, family. We’re hoping the message gets out to the community and everyone just has that nice reminder that it’s really simple to do something kind for someone else,” said Great Rivers United Way Community Engagement Coordinator Julie Nelson.
The annual Minnesota Acts of Kindness Week goes through this Friday.
