Caledonia outlasts P-E-M in triple overtime to clinch State trip
Caledonia boys basketball outlasted Plainview-Elgin-Millville 72-61 in triple overtime Thursday night to win the program’s third-straight Section 1AA championship.
Eli King led the Warriors with 30 points, While Ja’Shon Simpson scored 14, Jackson Koepke had 11, and Thane Meiners scored eight points.
Caledonia trailed by double digits in the first half and didn’t lead the game until the second overtime.
The Warriors secure their third-straight appearance at State, but the second they’ll actually get to play (2020 pandemic).
