Caledonia cruises past Perham in Class 2A State quarterfinals

No. 2 seed Caledonia boys basketball earned a 51-40 win over Perham in the MSHSL Class 2A State quarterfinals Tuesday night at the Target Center.

Eli King and the Warriors began the contest with a 20-3 scoring run and did not look back.

King finished with a team-high 17 points, along with eight rebounds, five assists, five steals, and three blocks.

Ja’Shon Simpson added 11 points and Thane Meiners scored 10. Caledonia has a team shot 45 percent and held the Yellowjackets to 37 percent.

Caledonia plays the winner of Annandale and Pequot Lakes Friday at Williams Arena.
