Caledonia ambulance holds annual chicken dinner
CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT)- It’s Emergency Medical Services Week and to celebrate Caledonia is having its 13th annual Chicken-Q Fundraiser for the Caledonia Ambulance.
They serve chicken dinner all day until it’s gone, but this year meals will be served as taking out only due to COVID-19.
The ambulance director says this event shows how great the community is because of how big the event is every year.
“Were hoping to serve 800 meals today which is about one-third of the town. Just shows the support right there,” said ambulance director Mike Tornstrom.
The Caledonia ambulance service is in the planning stages of building a new facility and all of this year’s proceeds go towards funding the architectural design and development process.
