Brush collection slated for next week in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The city of La Crosse will pick up brush next week, as long as it is placed on the curb by 7 a.m. Monday.
The brush must be less than 4 feet in length, bundled with cotton string and weigh not more than 50 pounds. Brush is defined as branches and tree limbs with diameters between 1/4 and 8 inches. The city will not pick up anything larger, nor piles with leaves, grass clippings and other debris. It does not accept logs, stumps or root balls.
Residents of La Crosse may haul brush, throughout the season, to the City’s drop-off site on Isle la Plume. New for 2021, a permit sticker will be required to use the Brush & Yard Waste site. You can fill out an application online at https://www.cityoflacrosse.org/your-government/departments/refuse-recycling/collection-disposal-information/brush-yard-waste-site or fill out an application at the yard waste site with the attendant.
Isle La Plume Brush & Yard Waste Site hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
