Brookwood High School raises funds for K-9 Unit
ONTARIO, Wis. (WKBT) — Students had the opportunity to help the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office
Brookwood Jr/Sr High School in Ontario, Wisconsin held a fundraiser to help the department add another K-9 unit to the force.
The school raised over $1600 for the department through a week of fun activities. The week included theme days, such as Hat Day and Staff Jeans Day.
They also had an Outdoor Fun Day, where students competed in Tug-of-War and agility competitions and dunked Brookwood graduates Deputy Mike Geier and Officer Jeremy Likely, as well as one of their teachers, Mrs. Pam Campos.
The students also sold root beer floats and glazed donuts to raise the money.
The check was presented to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning.
