Brewers sign LHP Brett Anderson to 1-year deal

The Brewers confirmed Friday that they had signed left-handed starting pitcher Brett Anderson to a one-year deal.

According to Buster Olney of ESPN, the deal is for $5 million, with another $2 million in performance-based bonuses.

Anderson made 31 starts and pitched 176 innings for the A’s last season and posted a career-high 13-win season with a 3.89 ERA. He was also third among all MLB pitchers with a ground-ball rate of 54 percent.
