Brewers erupt in 8th to crush Nats

The Brewers used a five-run eighth winning to defeat the Washington Nationals 7-0 Friday night in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee entered the frame leading 2-0 thanks to a sixth inning two-run Rowdy Tellez home run. The Brewers proceeded to load the bases with no outs. Hunter Renfroe then delivered a two-run single. Two batters later, Tyrone Taylor launched a three-run home run to left-center for his second homer of the season.

Brewers starting pitcher Eric Lauer tossed seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and striking out five. His ERA was lowered to 2.16.
