Breezy & Much Colder Tonight
Thursday’s High: 38°F, Tonight’s Forecast Low: 6°F
It was another mild day with a little sunshine, highs topped out in the mid to upper 30s.
A cold front is moving through the News 8 Now Viewing Area this evening. We aren’t seeing any precipitation, just some extra clouds that will clear tonight. The main story with this front is the cold air that it will leave behind. Lows tonight will be in the single digits, but breezy NW winds will cause wind chills to be subzero.
Get ready for a sunny end to the week, but temperatures will be cold. Highs will only be in the teens for your Friday.
Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer with highs in the low 20s Saturday, but clouds will be increasing ahead of a storm system that will bring some accumulating snow Saturday evening and night. Due to the incoming snow, Saturday is an ALERT DAY. Right now, snowfall totals look to be in the 2″-4″ range, but stay tuned for tweaks and updates!
A few snow showers could linger Sunday morning. Otherwise, skies will be mostly cloudy and temperatures more seasonable in the mid to upper 20s.
Monday will be a bit breezy as a storm system passes by to our south. We could see a few snow showers in our far southern communities as it passes by.
Tuesday looks dry, but another weak system will bring a chance of snow showers Wednesday.
Have a great night and stay warm! –Michelle Poedel
