Breezy… But Not Nearly as Cold Tonight -Bill Graul

Scattered Flurries Possible Tonight into Thursday Morning

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 12F (but rising temps overnight) / Thursday’s Forecast High: 27F…

Not nearly as cold tonight, thanks to passing clouds and S/SW winds. Expect lows to be set this evening in the low teens, then temps will actually gradually rise overnight. In fact, many spots will likely wake up to temps in the low-mid 20s Thursday morning. Those S/SW winds will be rather breezy at 10-20 mph, with gusts of 30-35 mph in open areas west of the Miss. River. This could cause some blowing snow in open areas and across higher terrain. There could also be a few flurries in spots overnight.

2020 Evening 8 To 8

Wednesday Night Forecast

Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered flurries Thursday morning, then decreasing clouds during the afternoon. Highs Thursday will likely be set in the morning or midday hours in the 23-30F range, then temps will fall during the afternoon as another shot of colder air moves in from the northwest.

Wkbt Master

Mostly clear and colder Thursday night, with lows in the -0s and -10s. Winds won’t be overly strong, so wind chills will likely remain in the -10s for most. Partly cloudy Friday with highs in the upper single digits to low-mid teens. Cold again Friday night, with lows in the -0s for most.

Looking Ahead… The weekend looks dry, with mostly cloudy skies Saturday and partly sunny conditions Sunday. Highs both days look to be in the low 20s. Partly sunny and warmer Monday, with highs in the low-mid 30s.

8 Day Build 3

Forecast models are hinting at a potential storm system that could impact our area in the Tuesday through Thursday timeframe of next week. However, the models are disagreeing with how far north/south the storm will track and how cold temps will be, so for now I’m just going to broad-brush a chance of snow each day, perhaps mixing with rain Tuesday. This system is almost a week out, so be sure to stay tuned for updates over the next several days.

In the meantime, have a great night! -Bill Graul
