One victim died at the scene. A second is recovering at a local hospital

LA CROSSE (WKBT) – La Crosse Police are investigating a homicide.

Officers responded to a shots-fired call at roughly 1:24 am Sunday. When they arrived in the area of 1900 South 7th Street, they located two victims. Officers started lifesaving measures on one of the victims who had been shot multiple times. That victim died at the scene.

The La Crosse Police Department has not released the name of the victim, but he is reported to be a 15-year-old known as Storm. Friends of the victim say he was an outgoing kid who had his whole life ahead of him.

“He never even got to live his life. It had just begun basically,” Maggie Kemp, a friend of the victim, said.

There was a second victim who was shot but is currently recovering from his injuries. The second victim is reported to be a 17-year-old, but police have not released any names and say this is an ongoing investigation.

Neighbors in the area say they are worried that a shooting occurred near several apartments and a residential area. Neighbors said they are hoping to get some answers soon from the police department about what happened. Friends of the victim say they’re hoping justice will be served.
