Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse deliver nearly 600 Thanksgiving meals to families

Meals come in place of annual in-person meal

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Thanksgiving dinner is coming a day early thanks to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse.

Club volunteers packaged nearly 600 Thanksgiving meals Wednesday afternoon.

The meals went to families in La Crosse, Holmen and West Salem who need a little help.

While the meal is different than in years past, the change is allowing for greater impact.

“It’s different because we get to serve more people. So instead of just focusing on kids, we get to also serve kids and their families. Which is really special for us, especially during this time,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse director of community engagement Teigen Haye.

The meals are being delivered in place the Clubs annual in-person Thanksgiving feast.
