Bowl For Kids’ Sake event raises money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters
Teams compete to raise funds for local children
LA CROSSE, Wisc. (WKBT) — Winona and La Crosse came together to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region.
Hoping to raise more than 60-thousand dollars in three days of bowling, Bowl For Kids’ Sake’ is an event where people can form teams and set fundrasing goals to throw a few strikes and support kids in need.
Those who attend Bowl For Kids’ Sake say the event is always fun,
and that’s why it’s lasted 29 years with hopefully many more to come.
Executive Director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters 7 Rivers Region, Jason Larsen, says “29 years and it’s still a really fun fundraiser” he explained “people can crowd fund and peer to peer fundraise. and then we get together for a bowling party. We hope it sticks around for a long time.”
The mney raised at the event will be used for staffing needs and matching more kids with Big Sisters and Brothers.
The event also celebrated 50 years of BBBS being in our region.
