Bountiful Garden Tour coming Saturday to La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — This Saturday you can get the chance to see why tending to a backyard garden can put a lot on your plate.
The 4th annual Bountiful Garden Tour will showcase gardens that grow vegetables.
The tour, hosted by the Hillview Urban Agriculture Center, features 10 gardens throughout La Crosse.
With a lot of ideas on display, organizers hope that people in attendance have ideas sprout.
“Everybody learns in sort of a different way and so we wanted to give a chance for people to learn by looking into their neighbor’s yard,” said Pam Hartwell, Executive Director of the Hillview Urban Agriculture Center.
The event costs $5 in advance and $10 the day of the event.
Tickets are available in advance at Hillview’s booth at Friday’s Cameron Park Farmers Market and online at hillviewuac.org.
