Blair-Taylor Softball looks for new leaders as spring season begins
Blair-Taylor Softball is reloading after losing a talented class of seniors to graduation.
The team is returning four seniors, with plenty of underclassmen who have not seen a pitch at the varsity level.
The last time the Wildcats took the field, they only lost one game on the season and that was at the D5 State Championship. With only a few players on that team suiting up this year, coach Bratina says that the new blood has that same drive that the older classes had.
“I think they realize what they got to do, some of them are younger sisters of those girls that graduated to so they’ve got their older sisters telling them,” Bratina said. “They don’t want to be the drop-off so they’re really pushing themselves.”
The Wildcats have only lost three conference games in the last four years.
