I grew up in Bayfield, Wisconsin, on Lake Superior. I’m a captain’s daughter, with a passion for sailing and photography. After graduating from high school, I moved to La Crosse to attend UWL. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Professional and Organizational Communication, and a minor in photography. I started at News 8 as a photojournalist before becoming a producer. From day one, I’ve taken on many challenges and opportunities at the station. I’ll always be a Northwoods girl, but I’ve grown roots in this community, and it’s the place I call home.

Favorite movie: Pulp Fiction, Lords of Dogtown

Motto: “What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for others?” -George Eliot

Pizza: Pineapple, Canadian bacon, and sauerkraut.

Favorite way to spend days off: Sleeping in!

What do I like about my job: The people I work with. From day one I felt like part of the team. They are, by far, the best co-workers, and some of my best friends.

Best day at work: Two hours into my first day. That’s when I realized working in news is the career I want to pursue.

Favorite food: Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream. Chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmallow swirls, caramel, and fish-shaped chocolate pieces….yum!

Something I’m bad at but would like to be better: Rollerblading. I’m not sure why, I just wish I could do it. I’ve tried a few times…it didn’t go well.
