Bikers Against Child Abuse hosts annual Soup Cook-Off

People could stop by and warm up with 30 different soups

A local group warmed some bellies while raising money for a good cause.

The Big River chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse, or BACA, hosted their 4th annual Soup Cook-Off in La Crosse Saturday. For a $10 donation, people were able to stop by the Overtime Sports Bar and try out about 30 different soups, chilis, and stews.

Organizers say the event brings people together for a cause that everyone can get behind.

“We can get out and we can get people from the community coming in, people that want to donate to a group that’s trying to fight child abuse, they can come down here, they can support what we’re doing. If they don’t necessarily have time to get involved, they’re not able to join the organization, they can come down here and have some fun and support us,” said BACA Chapter Vice President Lurch.

All proceeds at the event go back into the BACA organization.
