Big Bundle Up helps community members stay warm in Wisconsin
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A La Crosse organization is helping keep everyone in Wisconsin warm this winter.
Explore La Crosse has two collection locations for the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s ‘Big Bundle Up’ campaign.
Through November 25th, community members can drop of winter gear at the Visitor Center in Riverside Park and the Wisconsin Welcome Center along I-90 on French Island.
Now in its 9th year, 155,000 items have been collected across the state.
While the weather is getting colder, the need is growing.
“With the first snow fall, we know it gets cold, and we have so many wants and needs, but this really is a need. You just need to stay warm and even the little kids to the older people everybody needs gloves and a hat,” said Janet Dahl with Explore La Crosse.
All items donated at the locations in the La Crosse area will be given to the Family and Children’s Center and the Catholic Charities Warming House.
