Big Bang Friday brings science to life in La Crosse

Science is a way to learn about the world around us.

But while you are looking for specific results, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun.

The ‘Big Bang’ Friday Science event took place at Viterbo Friday morning.

Area high school junior and seniors had the chance to learn about forensics, chemical reactions … and engineering.

The day can be a way for teachers to help students learn about their passion for science.

“This is the next crop of people in our society that are going into college, they’re going into careers and we really pride ourselves on preparing them to have a broad understanding of life and what it means to be a whole person,” said Ted Wilson, Viterbo University Biology Professor.

70 students from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa participated in the event.
