Biden, Klobuchar plan visits to Allamakee, Winneshiek counties
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Two Democratic candidates for president will stop in northeastern Iowa this week. Former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar have campaign events in Winneshiek and Allamakee counties, respectively.
Biden kicked off his “No Malarkey” bus tour Saturday. He has several stops planned across the state throughout the week.
He’ll be making a stop at the Opera House at Hotel Winneshiek this Friday. Doors open at 4:45 p.m.
Klobuchar will be holding an event in Allamakee County before joining union workers for the Teamsters Presidential Forum in Cedar Rapids. Her campaign announced Sunday that field organizers have unionized under Teamsters Local 238. In a statement, the Amy for America campaign said that it supported organized labor.
Her campaign stop will be held on at 9 a.m. Saturday. A location has not yet been announced.
