Bicyclist hit by drunk driver in Brice Prairie brings remains of bike to safety meeting
BRICE PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKBT) — A bicyclist hit by a drunk driver in Brice Prairie brought his mangled bike to the town’s Safety Commission meeting Wednesday night.
The Commission talked with Dan Daily, who was the victim of the hit and run on County Road ZN last month. They discussed possible changes to improve safety along the road, including speed limit changes and bike-pedestrian path expansions.
“Sometimes I have to get into the ditch when there’s a car coming, and I think if they wanted to make it safer for people on bikes they need to have room for bikes to be where cars can still drive normally,” said Daily.
There are maps of reported traffic accidents across the state available online. You can find them at the WisTransPortal website.
