Bernice K Wurl, 98, of Plainview died Friday, April 30, 2021 at Green Prairie Center in Plainview. Bernice was born November 25, 1922 in Millville to Jonas and Gladys (Olson) Nass.
Following high school Bernice attended teachers training and taught rural school. On October 1, 1949 Bernice married Donald Wurl. They farmed with his parents until moving to Honey Ridge north of Elba in 1954 to farm.
Bernice enjoyed gardening and weaving rag rugs for friends and family.
Survivors include her four children; Ron and Al Wurl, both of St. Charles, Carolyn (Terry) Johnson of Lime Springs, IA and Myron Wurl of Altura, one grandson, Brian McFarlin, two sisters-in-law, Loella Nass and Shirley Polson. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2012, and three siblings, Harvey Nass, Jennie Roberson and Bernard Nass.
