Barbara J. Laabs, age 63, went home to heaven on March 10th, 2020. She was born to Hugo and Lois (Bartell) Laabs on May 14th, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI. She was baptized into the family of God at St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Mequon. She attended Trinity Freistadt School and was confirmed there in 1970. Barb graduated from Homestead High School Class of 1974. Barb lived and worked most of her life in the Ozaukee County Area. She enjoyed competing in sports, showing her dairy cows, and using her artistic skills to decorate for special events. She loved getting together with family and friends for a little sheepshead and visitng! Barb spent her last few years in poor health. She moved in with her sister Karen for help managing her illness. Her suffering has ended now, and she is reunited in heaven with her heavenly family.
She is survived by her siblings: Keith (Claudia), Karen, Brian (Debra), and Jerry (Lucy). She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and their children. They brought so much joy to her life; Randy (Wanda) Knapp (Austin, Landon) Heidi (Steve) Reuwer (Mark, Joseph, Caroline), Jennifer (Dave) Ritchey (Matthew, Alexandra), Joshua (Jessica) Laabs (James, Jeanette, Josie), Rebecca Laabs, Rachel Laabs. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jimmy Laabs, grandparents: Hugo & Hilda Laabs, Erwin & Emma Bartell
