Bangor High School receives rural education grant

New educational opportunities are growing in our area.

A $10,000 grant to the Bangor School district will cover the construction cost of a new green house at the high school.

The grant is part of nearly $2.3 million being distributed to schools across the country.

Students at the high school say the new space will provides chances to sprout new ideas.

“I tend to learn a little bit more in these hands-on classes and it’s really fun to really do the stuff that we’re learning rather than just kind of learn about it,” said Bangor High School senior Caden Buehler.

West Salem, Sparta and Osseo-Fairchild received $10,000 grants as well.
