Bandshell pavers still available as anonymous donor matches through 2019
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Bandshell at Riverside Park is well on its way to being complete, but you still have a chance to be a part of the project.
Any donation made throughout the end of this year is being matched by an anonymous donor. That donor says there is no cap on the amount they’ll match.
One way to donate is through purchasing a paver with an inscription of your choice.
There is still about $100,000 left to fundraise.
Organizers say with the community’s support and this anonymous donor, their goal is within reach.
“It’s really going to be a very iconic bandshell here, and the community’s been very supportive,” says Co-chair for the La Crosse Bandshell Consortium, Terry Bauer. “Having this donor come to the table now and match all donations through the end of the year will help us reach our goal.”
The rafters for the bandshell were completed just in time for the Rotary Lights. Roof decking, copper shingles, and acoustic panels will be added in the Spring.
