Band shell prepares to arch placement in Riverside Park
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The next step is coming for the band shell in La Crosse’s Riverside Park.
Crews were preparing today ahead of the arrival of a crane in the park Friday.
The crane will help move the arches in place.
Once the arches are in place, the roof can be put in place.
After years of planning, project leaders are excited to see the structure finally being built.
“We’re excited to be this close, we’re seeing the progress in the park finally after all the work that was done in the warehouse, and we’re that close to having all the funds we need on top of it all,” said Dave Clements, Band Shell Consortium co-chair.
Donations for pavers in the side walk near the band shell are stilling being accepted through September 30th.
Information about the pavers and the project are available on the band shell’s website.
