‘Balloon Buddies’ bringing smiles to senior citizens in La Crosse area
The Balloon Buddies effort is supported by donations
LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) – ‘Balloon buddies’ are helping provide some cheer for senior citizens living in assisted living communities.
The buddies are part of a national effort to delivery smiles.
Local company ‘Skies the Limit’ is supporting the local effort.
A $15 donations will pay for the creation of a little balloon friend for those who may be isolated because of the pandemic.
“It’s been really great and it’s great to see the residents get them and how happy it makes them, because they’re cute little guys,” said Skies the Limit Events owner Destine Coenen.
“I knew that something so simple would put such a big smile on all of their faces. Which it has,” said Traditions Community manager Jamie Burns.
