Badgers dismiss former Eau Claire Memorial RB Loyal Crawford
Crawford shares his side of story on Twitter
Wisconsin football announced Tuesday that head coach Paul Chryst had dismissed freshman tailback Loyal Crawford from the team and suspended another freshman tailback Antwan Roberts.
Per a UW release, the program and university would not be commenting on the incident.
After the news broke, Crawford took to his personal Twitter account to tell his side of the story:
“He” refers to Roberts, he confirmed in a follow-up tweet. The tweet has since been deleted.
Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel later reported that UW Police investigated the incident between them on Aug. 22, the day after the incident took place. The police investigation found that at one point, Crawford armed himself with the knife, but no one suffered knife injuries.
Crawford was cited for criminal disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct while armed,” according to the report.
