Authorities believe alcohol contributed to rollover crash Saturday
30-year-old Benjamin Link was air-lifted to hospital for injuries
TOWN OF FRANKLIN, Wis. (WKBT) — Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a one vehicle rollover crash in the Town of Franklin Saturday.
Vernon County Sheriff John Spears said 30-year-old Benjamin Link, of West Allis, was westbound on State Highway 27 when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve.
Authorities say Link’s vehicle crossed the center line, rolled several times and landed on its rooftop.
Spears said Link was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle and found lying in the field.
Spears said people passing by noticed the vehicle in the field and contacted emergency personnel. Link was breathing but unconscious when first responders arrived and he was air lifted to Gundersen Health System for his injuries.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
