Attorney for Todd Kendhammer wants court to review evidence

A court date is set for August for the evidence review

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The attorney for the West Salem man convicted of killing his wife wants the court to review evidence in the case for an appeal.

La Crosse County Judge Todd Bjerke heard arguments Monday in the Todd Kendhammer case.

Judge Bjerke set a court hearing for late August for the evidence review.

Kendhammer is serving a life prison sentence.

A jury convicted him in 2017 of killing his wife Barbara and then trying to cover it up by saying it was caused by a pipe falling off a passing truck and crashing through their car windshield.
