Art Fair on the Green raises scholarship money for students seeking higher education
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — In Myrick park on Saturday, artists shared and sold their works at the 64th annual Art Fair on the Green.
Visitors enjoyed more than 80 juried artists.
The fair also featured a raffle and had food trucks.
One of the artists at the fair, Melissa Rohwer, went to school at UW-La Crosse and says the La Crosse community is welcoming to creators.
“The patrons, and everyone coming to look at the art, are so nice and invested in the artwork, and you can really tell that the La Crosse community in general really has a passion for keeping the arts in the community,” said Rohwer.
Proceeds and donations from the fair go towards scholarships and grants for any student seeking higher education.
