Arrest made in West Salem fentanyl homicide investigation

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) — A man is in custody related to a homicide investigation.

U.S. Marshalls arrested 23-year-old Lathan Foster in Benton County, Arkansas Wednesday. Foster is wanted for allegedly selling drugs containing fentanyl that killed a West Salem man in December.

The man, identified as Jeremy Pittman, died Dec. 31. An autopsy showed fentanyl toxicity as the cause of death.

Foster remains in Benton County Jail awaiting extradition to La Crosse County.
