Area school districts partner with Kwik Trip to provide milk to students during COVID-19 pandemic

USDA restores monthly milk reports in limited form

ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) – Two area school districts have a new partnership with Kwik Trip to provide milk to students during school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The School District of Arcadia, along with the Whitehall School District announced the new partnership with Kwik Trip Wednesday. The two school districts moved to bulk food distribution for student meals and are supplying food seven days per week for children under the age of 18. Food is distributed to families every Wednesday. Families receive USDA approved meals which include one or more gallons of milk, based on the number of children in the household.

This is the first partnership that Kwik Trip has forged with school districts to supply milk and hopes to use this as a pilot for the potential of expanding their partnerships to include supplying milk to more schools on a regular basis for their USDA lunch programs.

Kwik Trip sources all of its milk from dairy farmers within a 100-mile radius of their company headquarters in La Crosse, WI.
