Architects chosen for La Crosse Center renovations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — We now know who will be drawing up the plans for the expansion of the La Crosse Center.
The Center’s board is recommending Midwest firms ISG and Gensler as the architects for the proposed project with Kraus Anderson serving as the construction manager.
Now that the architects and construction companies have been chosen, La Crosse Center officials say much of this year will be spent planning the project and hearing from the community.
“In ’17 we’ll get a lot more community input, both from the employees at the center, to the community, to the elected officials and users, so we’re going to get a lot more input on this. So as we go along, there’s going to be more tweaking, if you will, on the project,” said center director Art Fahey.
The selection of the architecture company still has to be confirmed by the city’s common council in March.
Construction on the La Crosse Center is expected to begin in 2018 and finish in 2019.
