Aquinas’ Knutson commits to UConn
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Aquinas senior Theresa Knutson has made her college decision.
The nation’s second all-time leading scorer verbally committed to UConn, according to her dad, Aquinas Athletics Director Ted Knutson.
Ted said she will have a partial scholarship to play in Storrs.
She chose the Huskies over Penn State and St. Cloud State mostly because of the campus and academics, according to Ted.
Ted said Wisconsin was in the picture until the spring, when the Badgers wanted her to leave high school early to play on a club team her senior year. She wanted to graduate from Aquinas.
She is likely to formally sign a letter of intent in April, according to Ted.
