Aquinas, G-E-T come out on top at MVC Dance Competition

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Young dancers in our area put their best foot forward Saturday.

Aquinas High School hosted the Mississippi Valley Conference Dance Competition.

Schools from around our area competed in hip hop, jazz, and pom.

This is the first time the MVC has held a competition.

Things really heated up Saturday as the dancers went head to head to see what team would come out on top.

“There is a big variety in school sizes so we’re all pretty much in different divisions and we’ve never been able to compete against each other, so it’s exciting to be able to all come here today and put it all to the test to see who is the best in the MVC,” said Aquinas senior, Sophie Cowgill.

Logan, Central, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Sparta, G-E-T, and Tomah also competed.

Aquinas came out on top for Pom and Jazz, and G-E-T was crowned as the hip hop champions.
