Aquinas fends off Holmen, 73-60
Aquinas fended off a strong Holmen attack to win 73-60 Tuesday night and stay unbeaten this season.
Perimeter shots fell all night for both teams, with the sides combining for well 27 made three-pointers (14 from Aquinas and 13 from Holmen).
Aquinas held just a one-point lead at halftime thanks to a Macy Donarski floater.
The Blugolds got a big spark early in the second half from Bri Bahr, who hit three triples in a row to pad the Blugolds’ lead.
Donarski led all scorers with 22 points and nine assists, with Jacy Weisbrod adding 20 points and knocking down five three-pointers.
Sydney Jahr led the Vikings with 18 points, with Haley Valiska adding 17 points.
Aquinas has now won 62 consecutive MVC contests.
