Aquinas edges out Prescott in 51-44 regional victory
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)–A close game throughout, the Blugolds were able to outlast Prescott to advance to sectional play 51-44.
Aquinas’ 9 point lead was worked down to just a 1 point advantage following a Prescott three with 2 minutes left in regulation.
But the Blugolds were able to make their free throws, and force key turnovers to secure the regional win.
Aquinas met its end in sectional play last year, falling to Luther.
