Annual donation helps Second Harvest Foodbank
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — An area hospital is doing its part to fight hunger this holiday season.
The Tomah Memorial Hospital Foundation donated $5,000 Monday to Second Harvest Foodbank.
The money will go to the food bank’s “Food Share Outreach” Program, which helps provide food access to people throughout the area.
The president of the food bank says they’ve put a lot of effort into helping those in southern Wisconsin, especially Monroe County.
“Over 100,000 people needed help, and we focus a lot of our attention in Monroe County because we saw a significant need here. We’ve added programs and also worked to enhance the programs that already existed,” said President and CEO, Dan Stein.
The Tomah Memorial Hospital Foundation has been making annual donations to area non-profits for more than a decade.
