Annual award lunch celebrates businesses in downtown La Crosse
This was the 30th year of the awards luncheon
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The impacts of community members and businesses are being celebrated during an annual event in La Crosse.
Downtown Mainstreet hosted their annual awards lunch virtually today.
Registered participants could pick up meals from the Cargill Room Wednesday morning and the awards ceremony took place this afternoon.
Organizers say that the event is a chance to recognize community members.
“It’s really an opportunity to look at doing things differently. You know, allow people to engage at their leisure. Obviously we miss some of the networking and camaraderie. But we’re finding ways to overcome that as well,” said incoming Downtown Mainstreet president Will Kratt.
Among this year’s honorees is former planning director of La Crosse Jason Gilman.
And Don Weber is this year’s ‘Legacy Award Winner’.
