Altoona motorcyclist injured in crash

TOWN OF LINCOLN, Wis. (WKBT) — An Altoona, Wis., man was injured Sunday after crashing his motorcycle in the town of Lincoln, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert J. Sumner, 59, was driving his 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound Sunday afternoon on Hwy. 88 when he lost control near Hwy. U and went into the ditch, according to investigators.

Police responded at 4:20 p.m. and found Sumner responsive and answering questions. He was treated by Waumandee-Montana-Lincoln First Responders and Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service before being transported to the hospital via LifeLink III helicopter.
