Almost time for Rotary Lights
Next Friday will officially mark the beginning of the 2021-2022 Rotary Lights season
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – We’re almost ready for an all time favorite La Crosse tradition, and It could not have come at a better moment.
Next Friday will officially mark the beginning of the 2021-2022 Rotary Lights season.
The lights are put up with the help of about 100 non-profit organizations in the area
The rotary crew along with volunteers are still putting the finishing touches on the massive project.
The workers are still waiting on a few large pieces before they are finished.
The lights always bring people together during the holiday season and this year, the unity that the lights bring, will be more important than ever.
“The way the virus is going this year, I keep telling people that Rotary lights is more important this year than ever before. We need some good times, we need some happy times, we need something to boost the spirit of the individuals and Rotary Lights can do that. And I think we’re gonna have a banner year because of it,” said Pat Stephens, the President of the La Crosse Rotary Club.
Like usual, you can drive around Riverside Park and view the lights, but if you are walking through, you are asked to adhere to the current covid-19 safety precautions.
