Airfest prepares for to takeoff for 2021

Event includes Blue Angles, stunt pilots

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Airfest is making their final checks before the event takes off.

Pilots and crews were busy at the La Crosse Regional Airport Friday for practice runs ahead of tomorrow’s opening of the Deke Slayton Airfest.

Along with the Blue Angels, stunt pilots will take to the skies for performances

For those flying into La Crosse, the experience is enjoyable in the air and on the ground.

“Flying into La Crosse and seeing the water and the hills and so forth and we landed here and the hospitality was so great,” said Vanguard Squadron pilot David Myers.
