Acts of Kindness Week celebrated in La Crescent
LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) — Students from our area are learning that small actions can have a big impact on others.
Elementary students in La Crescent and Caledonia made ‘kindness cards’ as part of Minnesota United Acts of Kindness week.
The cards were then delivered to residents at SpringBrook Village assisted living facility.
Staff from Great Rivers United Way helped delivered the cards.
The hope is to see acts of kindness continue throughout the area.
“We spread that on to folks in the senior living centers and who knows it can have the impact on them, if it brightens their day, and they do something nice in turn for someone else, that’s the part that we’ll never know of what happens beyond this,” said Julie Nelson, Great Rivers United Way community engagement coordinator.
Great Rivers United Way staff also delivered apples to school staff, as a way to recognize their efforts in impact the lives of kids.
