A virtual ‘Walk to End Alzheimer’s’

To follow social distancing measures this year participants are able to sign up online, make a team, and create their own route

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Like many other local “walks” for charities, the Walk to end Alzheimer’s is also, going virtual.

La Crosse area residents are being invited to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk To End Alzheimer’s that begins in one week.

To follow social distancing measures this year participants are able to sign up online, make a team, and create their own route.

Health experts and organizers want to remind you that those living with Alzheimer’s are suffering through the pandemic as well.

“How COVID affects this population, they’re not getting visitors, they’re barely getting window visits. And it’s really important for people to reach out to their loved ones,” Sue Weidemann, the Co-chair of Walk to End Alzheimer’s in La Crosse.

To sign-up for the walk visit www.alz.org/walk and if you can’t join the walk you can always donate.
