A Very Warm Afternoon. Strong Storms Possible This Evening & Tonight.
Thursday’s Forecast High: 91°F, Tonight’s Forecast Low: 65°F
Lots of sunshine and fairly low humidity, are helping temperatures warm up pretty quickly this afternoon! I’ve increased our high temps into the upper 80s to low 90s. We could also see an isolated shower or storm late this afternoon or evening.
A cold front will move through the area tonight bringing a slightly higher chance of showers and storms. Any storms that develop could become strong to severe. The main threats would be damaging winds and large hail. Lows tonight will be in the 60s.
A few showers and storms will linger Friday morning before skies clear. Cooler and less humid tomorrow with highs in the low 80s.
The cooler and less humid air sticks around for much of the weekend. Expect highs near 80 degrees both Saturday and Sunday. An isolated storm can’t be ruled out later in the day Sunday, otherwise it’ll be a dry weekend.
Temperatures soar back into the upper 80s for highs Monday, but the big warm up will be short-lived. A cold front will move through on Tuesday bringing showers and storms, but also cooler weather for the rest of the week.
Enjoy the rest of your Thursday and stay cool! –Michelle Poedel
