A Slightly Warmer Weekend Ahead

Warmer air will slowly move into the region Friday night. We’ll see this warm air in the form clouds. We will be in and out of clouds through much of the night. It won’t be nearly as cold as Friday morning. Expect lows in the lower to middle 20s.

Clouds will re-thicken Saturday as a weak clipper and cold front move in from the northwest. There will be a slight chance of light rain and snow showers Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. It will be a bit warmer Saturday (compared to where we’ve been) with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. These readings are still below average.

Plenty of clouds will linger Sunday, along with a slight chance of light snow showers or flurries. It will turn colder again Sunday with highs in the low-mid 30s. Temps will drop into the teens Sunday night.

Looking Ahead… More unseasonably cold air follows the weekend system, with highs Monday and Tuesday only in the low-mid 20s. Lows will be in the single digits and teens. Skies will be partly sunny Monday, with a bit more sunshine expected Tuesday.

Clouds increase for Wednesday with a chance of light snow by Wednesday afternoon and into Wednesday night. Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 20s. The chance for light snow could linger into Thursday morning as well, with highs around freezing.

Temps look to warm up a bit later in the week with highs Friday in the mid-upper 30s, then low 40s Saturday. Both days look dry at this point, with partly to mostly sunny skies.
